Gluten-Free Shepherd's Pie Two Ways by Gluten-Free Goddess

One of my favorite things to make in the fall is shepard's pie. Traditionally made with lamb (hence the name) Karina of Gluten-Free Goddess shakes things up and makes  gluten-free pies two ways: one with tofu and one with chicken. Both were topped with creamy potatoes and filled with tasty, nontraditional ingredients like broccoli, artichoke hearts and zucchini instead of the usual carrots and peas. I also love the pot-pie inspired sauce, it sounds so creamy and perfect for a new kind of shepard's pie.

Blueberry Pie with Orange Nut Crust by Angry Asian Creations

I love this pie by Angry Asian Creations because it is a true season bender. We have summery blueberries and a wintery orange and pecan crust meeting together in a pie that I think would be perfect for fall. The crispy oat topping is just the perfect autumnal touch.

Blueberries are on their way out but still readily available or you can use defrosted frozen berries. I know I always freeze berries at their peak for just such a pie emergency. A wonderful way to bring the summer back to life.

Apple Pie Bundles by Bake or Break

These apple pie bundles from Bake or Break could not be cuter! I love how they take the best part of apple pie and make them into something you could easily share with a crowd. I don't know about you but I hate serving pies in front of people because more times than not, the filling oozes and I end up making a mess. Not a issue with these little desserts. They are also perfect for someone who is nervous about rolling out a whole pie crust, like she says, they can look a little rustic, is it part of their charm!

Heirloom Apple Pie by Coconut & Lime

This is one of my favorite pie recipes! My grandpop loved Stayman Winesap apples and apple pie. I created this recipe to share with him. What sets it apart from the rest is the cheddar-black pepper crust but even in a regular crust, this pie would be a winner!
