Pastel de Nata by Family Foodie


Ever once in a while I come across a pie that I haven't had before but once I've seen it, I get that "must have it now!" feeling. This is one of those pies. I can't say I've had a lot of Portuguese food but if it is all as tasty as this tart looks, sign me up! I love the look of the creamy custard and the fact that is baked on top of phyllo dough means it is perfect for beginners and people who just don't have the time to fuss with homemade dough. For extra foodie points, you could make your own phyllo dough.
